Most people dream about a different life. We chose ours, took a breath, looked at each other, and jumped.
In 2021, on what was supposed to be a casual day trip, my then-12-year-old walked into a home by the golf course in Christina Lake and said four words that changed everything: “Mom, let’s move here.” We took that spark seriously, and within two months, we had.
That’s the kind of decision I help people make every day.

Katherine, at home in the Boundary.
I didn’t start my career in real estate. I started it in people.
For seven years I served as a youth and children’s pastor at St. David’s Anglican Church in Tsawwassen, walking alongside families through milestones, transitions, and the moments that matter most. I learned early that what people need in pivotal moments isn’t someone with all the answers. They need someone steady, present, and genuinely invested in how they come through.
I carried that into the next decade, when I opened and ran a licensed home daycare, caring for seven children daily while raising my own. I learned patience, attentiveness, and the kind of deep care that doesn’t clock out at the end of the day.
When our family made the move to Christina Lake, I eventually found my way into the school system as an Educational Assistant, and then a concussion forced me to stop, rebuild, and reimagine what was next. During eight months of recovery I did a lot of thinking about what I was actually good at, what I genuinely loved, and what kind of work would let me show up fully for my family and my community. Real estate kept finding me.

Christina Lake, where the four words started everything.
Here is what I know about big moves, because I’ve lived one.
I know what it feels like to scroll listings late at night wondering if the life you’re imagining is actually possible. I know the specific fear of making an offer on a home in a town where you don’t yet know anyone. I know the moment a house stops being a financial decision and becomes something much more emotional, and I know that’s exactly when you need someone in your corner who isn’t going to rush you or reduce it to numbers.
If you’re thinking about a similar move, my blog has a lot of what I wish someone had told me — from moving from Alberta to retiring in the Boundary Country.
I also know what it feels like to arrive. To wake up one morning in the community you chose and feel the quiet certainty that you got it right.
That is what I want for every single person I work with.

Grand Forks, from above.
I am not a transactional realtor. I never will be.
My background is in pastoral care, in raising children, in building community from the ground up. I am currently the PAC President at Christina Lake Elementary, on the board of the Boundary Mushroom Festival, involved in the Grand Forks Curling Club, and spent four years coaching cross-country skiing. This is not my market. This is my home. And that distinction changes everything about how I show up for you.
When you work with me, I will counsel you like a trusted friend, not a salesperson. I will tell you the truth even when it’s inconvenient. I will stay present through the emotional moments, the excitement, the doubt, the 11pm panic text, because I know those moments are part of the process and they deserve a real response, not an automated one.
If you are dreaming about a slower pace, a bigger yard, a lake out your window, or a community where your kids can actually grow up outside, I would love to be the person who helps you find it.
This region is extraordinary. I moved here because I felt it in my bones, and I have never looked back. Let me show you what I see every single day.
Rooted in Community. Committed to You.
